  On time, very knowledgeable (20 plus years of experience), and shows enthusiasm for teaching about Mayan history and the ATM cave.

  We were so excited to explore the ATM Cave with Jamir (JamJam) today. He was interesting and detailed in his explanation of the Mayan history and their religious beliefs. He... read more was incredibly helpful and patient with our 2 children (ages 10 & 11) who also really enjoyed the adventure! My favorite bit was the enormous ceilings of stalactites and the final narrow passageways on the return journey.
Plus, Mr Walter (?), our driver served an incredible feast of BBQ chicken, rice, beans & tortillas for lunch!
My only wish - that I'd known to book Jamir directly through his OWN Jam Jam tours!
Also, in May, the water level on the stream crossing was lower so it was easy to walk across at all 3 crossings. You should expect some swimming and waist-shoulder deep water at some points inside the cave. We wore water shoes & swim suits plus carried long-sleeved water shirts that we could wear if cold/ as sun protection on the hike back.

So our return through was filled with fun shimmying around through some narrow water filled passages. We traveled with 3 kids who ranged in ages from 10-14 and Jamir encouraged their curiosity and adventurous spirits while keeping all of us safe and engaged. The cave is spectacular - like nothing we had ever seen - and every member of our family had fun and was in awe. We were the first ones to arrive at ATM cave that day and were therefore able to avoid the crowds. Jamir had all the gear and expertise that we needed for a fantastic experience. It was a pleasure spending the day with Jamir and I highly recommend booking this adventure with Jam Jam Tours.
